Dr. Charles A. Mastrovich received his D.D.S. degree from Northwestern University Dental School in Chicago. He completed a post-doctoral general practice residency at Sepulveda Veterans Administration Hospital in Los Angeles. In 1978 the desire for an outdoor lifestyle and friendly community led him to establish his dental practice in North San Diego County.
Dr. Mastrovich takes great pride in his work and continues to pursue the best and newest breakthroughs in dentistry. He continues to be recognized for his excellence in dental care, and lectures throughout the U.S. on his innovations in solving complex restorative cases and rescuing broken implant screws and abutments.
Dr. Mastrovich specializes in using a high-powered endodontic microscope for use in implant screw and abutment retrieval. This microscope enables Dr. Mastrovich to view inside the implant in order to see the fractured implant screw or abutment and use specialized instruments he has designed to remove the fractured components. Using this microscope allows for more clarity to the diagnosis and further enables him to educate patients on treatment options.
Dr. Mastrovich lives in Rancho Bernardo with his wife, Valerie, and their two daughters. He enjoys several sports, especially skiing and golf.
